The position
We are looking for a driven IT Technician with a holistic mindset. You will be part of our Global IT team and be a key player in the IT operations team at Roxtec. We believe you have broad knowledge and experience in IT service and support, a strong motivation and a drive to learn. To succeed in this role, you need a genuine interest in IT and be willing to challenge existing knowledge, ways of work, and implementations.
The Roxtec IT department covers operation, development, and support for all the 28 subsidiaries in the group, worldwide. The IT department is based at the Roxtec headquarters in Karlskrona, Sweden, where all systems, from ERP through to other special applications, are maintained and developed.
Key responsibilities
Serve as a first point of contact for colleagues seeking technical assistance
Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided
Manage orders of IT equipment
Walk colleagues through the problem-solving process
Direct unresolved issues to the next tier of support
Provide accurate information on IT products or services
Record events and problems and their resolution
Follow-up and update request status and information
Pass on any feedback or suggestions to the appropriate internal team
Identify and suggest possible improvements of procedures
You will also
Help your colleagues within other areas of our IT environment when needed
Help creating and evaluating technical and security requirements internally and towards external partners and suppliers
Ensure continuous improvements within your areas of responsibility
Good to have
Proven experience as a support technician or other customer support role
Tech savvy with working knowledge of IT automation
Good understanding of office IT environments built on Microsoft 365 services
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
Proficiency in English
Excellent communication skills
Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
Ability to work well with others, including collaboration and communication with other departments
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work under pressure
